The Interior Design Process with MKG Interior Design

At MKG Interior Design, we understand that embarking on an interior design renovation can be both exciting and daunting. To make the process smooth and enjoyable, Monika Giannini and her team have developed a streamlined approach that guides you from the initial inquiry to the final touches. Here’s a step-by-step overview of what you can expect when you choose MKG Interior Design for your renovation project.

Step 1: Initial Inquiry

Your journey with MKG Interior Design begins when you reach out to us with an inquiry. This is the first step in transforming your space into a reflection of your unique style and needs.

Step 2: Site Meeting

Monika will organize a site meeting to understand your requirements, desires, and the current state of your property. This meeting is crucial as it helps us get a clear picture of the project scope, ensuring that we capture your vision accurately.

Step 3: Fee Proposal

After the site meeting, Monika will send you a detailed fee proposal outlining the costs involved in your project. This proposal is designed to be transparent and comprehensive, giving you a clear understanding of the financial aspects of your renovation.

Step 4: Service Agreement and Initial Invoice

If you’re happy with the fee proposal, Monika will then send you a service agreement, followed by an invoice. Depending on the project's value, this invoice will either be a deposit or the total project cost. Once the agreement is signed and the invoice is settled, we can officially start the design process.

Step 5: Site Survey

The next step is a thorough site survey, which forms the basis for any floorplan redesigns, drawings, and furniture layouts. If the project involves changing the layout or redesigning a kitchen or bathroom, we will present you with three to four different layout options for your consideration. Simultaneously, we will begin selecting finishes and creating the overall look of your project.

Step 6: Finalizing the Floor Plan

Once we decide on a floor plan, we may need to engage with a structural engineer or private certifier, especially if the work requires council approval. This ensures that everything we do meets the highest standards and complies with all regulations.

Step 7: Construction Begins

With all plans and approvals in place, the construction phase begins. Our team works diligently to bring your vision to life, maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship throughout the process.

Choosing MKG Interior Design means partnering with a team dedicated to making your renovation experience seamless and rewarding. From the initial inquiry to the final reveal, Monika Giannini and her team are committed to transforming your space into a beautiful and functional environment that you’ll love for years to come.
